MediaTek unveiled first AI based Helio P60 Chipset at MWC 2018. The new chipset will be available globally starting in early Q2 2018. So, let’s check the feature –
MediaTek Helio P60 using 12Nm FinFET technology + four Arm Cortex-A73 2.0 GHz processors & four Arm Cortex-A53 2.0 GHz processors in an octa-core. Company claim that Helio P60 is up to 12 percent more efficient overall and up to 25 percent more power efficient in highly demanding games compared to the previous generation Helio P series, Helio P23.
It’s handle by MediaTek’s CorePilot 4.0 technology, with thermal management & Energy Aware Scheduling (EAS), the chipset optimizes processor performance as well as power conservation.
MediaTek Helio P60 guide by MeidaTek’s NeuroPilot AI technology with AI-compute architecture works across CPU, GPU & Mobile APU within the SoC to maximize performance plus energy efficiency.
Also, MediaTek’s NeuroPilot SDK in P60 is compatible with Google Android Neural Networks API (Android NNAPI) & also supports common AI frameworks, including TensorFlow, TF Lite, Caffe, and Caffe2.
Other feature is 4G LTE World Mode, dual 4G VoLTE, TAS 2.0 smart antenna technology & dual-camera set-up which means 20MP+16MP dual camera set-up or 32MP single camera set-up.
